Ashley Davis, Romance Author

Ashely Davis is an 18 year-old published author from South Florida, USA. She began regularly writing when she was 12, and has since gone on to release her first romance novel, “Ever & Nate”.

Q: What do you love about writing? A: “I love the lack of barriers. With writing, you can be as creative as you want and you can make anything happen. It’s a great escape from the real world when you’re able to get lost in this universe you made up where you can control everything that happens and give yourself the happy endings you can’t quite reach yet in real life.”

Q: Why have you chosen Romance as your primary genre? A: “I’ve always been drawn to romance because it explores people, their personalities, and personal experience that allows the reader and writer to relate to something.”

Q: What’s your most recent published project? A: “My most recent released project is a romance novel called Ever & Nate. It’s about two teenagers who struggle with the darker sides of life. Ever is a 16 year old girl who’s lived in an orphanage her entire life and doesn’t really socialize except for the owner of her favorite bookstore. She gets into a lot of trouble but only has good intentions. Nate is a 16 year old boy who was adopted and suffers abuse at home that no one knows about. He took an interest in Ever at the bookstore and they became friends, which slowly turned into something more. They show each other different perspectives of life and the world to try and help each other while finding themselves.”

Q: What are you currently working on? A: “I’m currently working on a lot of books, but my main project is called August Eighth. It’s about a girl named August who’s going into college and trying to start over after losing both of her parents to suicide. Her roommate’s brother slowly becomes her friend who wants to help her through everything, and it slowly blossoms into a romance while they both discover things about themselves and their lives they’ve never confronted before.”
